How Jennifer Beals stole “Castle”
Jennifer Beals also explained in her interview to Hollywood Reporter what Sophia meant to Castle when she said, “Beckett may see aspects of herself in Sophia or in that relationship. At a certain point, Sophia knows Castle well enough that they start to finish each other’s sentences in the way” that Beckett and Castle do now. Jennifer added that when we tune in to see the conclusion of the episode next Monday, Sophia’s “relationship with Castle becomes more and more clear.”
One thing we won’t see is a catfight between Sophia and Beckett over Castle because Jennifer Beals made it clear to Marlow when she read the script that she wants to play “mature and grounded” woman and not someone “going after the same man.” Jennifer did hint that in the second part we get more information about Castle and that will make Beckett re-think her relationship with him, because if he already had someone in his past that used as an inspiration for a character, then how special is Kate Beckett?
The two-part episode began last Monday night and the conclusion will air tomorrow, February 20th. Jennifer Beals warned in her interview to Inside TV: “The second episode is out of control. My apologies to all the fans who are huge Beckett fans. I apologize for any type of anxiety the character might cause you.”
