Last Saturday I attended Matthew Shepard Foundation (MSF) Annual Gala in Denver. The MSF is dedicated to ‘Erasing Hate’ through education, advocacy and awareness. The Foundation is the voice for inclusive hate crimes legislation and works to empower and ensure the safety of LGBTQ and Allied youth.

Most of us will always think of Mia Kirshner as crazy Jenny from “The L Word” and there were plenty of viewers who hated that character. Even Ilene Chaiken herself said that she got plenty of letters and requests to kill Jenny off and in the end, that’s exactly what happened. I personally never hated Jenny and I always admired how passionate Mia was about her character and the show.
